"Love Story"

Hey its Valentines Day! Journal about your love story , past , present, future!

(Just got a little creative with Photoshop this a.m. and combined a photo of a card that was waiting for me by the coffee machine when I came down this morning (after dh left for work), some chocolates and a directory photo we just took for church.)

The continuum of love - past, present, future: flirty, lusty, giddy, silly, all-consuming, serious, unified, committed, passionate, testing boundaries, supportive, reproductive, teammates, best friends, roommates, companionable, buddies, lovers, grounded, partners, soul-mates, the other half, inseperable.

We've been together for almost 33 years. The stages of the relationship change over the years. The passion waxes and wanes. What was all feel-good and fun in the beginning changes, matures if you will, into something that maybe isn't always as emotionally charged, but has become a part of your very being, who you are. You have this history together that truly bonds you. Only time can build that. So many couples today don't bother to work it out and so never get to that place where your history will hold you together. Too bad. Because that's what love really is made of.
